EVIDENCE STORAGE SYSTEMSSecure your important evidence with a new evidence storage solution. Evidence storage is available in a closed-back configuration or pass-through configuration, so you can choose the right solution for your evidence processing and chain of custody model. Both systems are constructed with heavy-gauge steel for the body and components. The front of the storage system is made up of multiple double-lined doors that can be individually locked. You can choose your front door configuration to meet your needs – have as few as 6 or as many as 18. The doors feature our quiet-close and stay-closed technology. You can choose to equip your evidence storage system with an electronic lock or choose padlocks. |
Closed-Back Systems
Closed-back systems feature multiple compartments on the front of the cabinet and a solid back panel. They are designed to be secured to a wall and only be accessed from one side.
With this system, depositing and collecting evidence happen through the same door. An officer deposits evidence in a compartment and secures the locker. When the compartment is secure, only the chief evidence manager can open it. The chief evidence manager then opens the compartment and moves the evidence into long-term storage.
Pass-Through Systems
Pass-through evidence systems have multiple doors on the front to access the multiple compartments and a single security gate on the rear. The system is designed to be installed in a wall between a secure evidence room and a passageway.
Evidence flows through the storage system with this configuration. Evidence officers deposit evidence into a compartment and secure the compartment from the one side. Then, the chief evidence manager accesses the entire cabinet using the rear security gate and collects the evidence. When a compartment is emptied, it’s made available for another piece of evidence.
